By acknowledging that you’ve read and understood the Waiver Agreement as stated in the Registration Form, you, as a Client, are agreeing to the following terms that apply to Melissa Hernández and La Piel de Naranja and any other teachers associated with La Piel de Naranja:
Assumption of Risk: The Client agrees that their participation in any Events or Classes with La Piel de Naranja is voluntary. Furthermore, the Client agrees to assume any risk associated with participating in any Events or Classes, and releases La Piel de Naranja from any and all claims of loss or damage that may arise during the Client’s participation. Such releases are without limitation, and include attorneys’ fees, personal injury, property damage, and any other losses or damages suffered by the Client.
Total Indemnification: The Client agrees to indemnify and hold La Piel de Naranja harmless against any and all claims of loss or damage, including damage to La Piel de Naranja property caused by the Client.
Personal Well Being: The Client hereby warrants that they are physically fit and capable of participating in any Events or Classes the Client signs up for without undue risk.
Right to Cancel: La Piel de Naranja maintain the right to deny the Client’s participation in any Events or Classes if they deem that participation would risk loss or damage to any party, including other students, participants, attendees and teachers.
La Piel De Naranja reserves the right to take pictures and videos for use in promotional material including but not limited to the website and social media platforms. This material will follow the same guidelines that we have set forth in our Privacy Policy.
Should a student or guardian not wish to have their photo taken or be in a video, please kindly contact us at lapieldenaranja@gmail.com.
All Registration Fees are Non-Refundable. If classes are missed, it is at the Students expense.
Exceptions can be made at the discretion of Melissa Hernández and will be done in writing via email (lapieldenaranja@gmail.com).
If the studio cancels the class(es) you are registered for, they will be rescheduled.
In case of an emergency, the teacher hosting a class or event at La Piel De Naranja will immediately call the In Case of Emergency contact listed on the Student’s registration form, and, if deemed necessary, will call 911.
All students are required to wash their hands upon entering La Piel De Naranja property.
La Piel De Naranja performs regular (before and after use) disinfection of materials and products used for all classes.
All students and/or their guardians must notify La Piel De Naranja should there be an instance of COVID within their families, schools, or interactions with others.
If a student is showing symptoms of COVID or any other illness, La Piel De Naranja reserves the right to ask that student to leave.
It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure each other’s safety.
Personal Data
“Personal Data” is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual; meaning, information that could be used, on its own or in conjunction with other data, to identify an individual. We may ask for certain Personal Data from you for the purpose of providing you content and/or services that you request.
We collect Personal Data such as your: (i) contact information (including name, address and email); (ii) financial information (at the moment this is not required due to our methods of payment); (iii) location information (such as geographic location of the device you are using); and/or (iv) preferences and feedback.
By registering, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your email address, and other such information you provide during registration, in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
Once you register, you have opted in to receive electronic communications from La Piel De Naranja.
La Piel De Naranja may also provide you with the opportunity to participate in surveys through our Website or email. If you participate, we may request certain Personal Data. Participation in surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether to disclose such information.
Non-Personal Information
“Non-Personal Information” is general user information that does not contain personally identifiable information, which is collected on an aggregate basis as you use our Website. At the moment this information is not collected by La Piel De Naranja, but should it be in the future, all Clients will be notified in advance of the amendment to our Privacy Policy.
General Use
We may share your Personal Data to fulfill the purposes for which you provide it, for any other purposes disclosed by us when you provide the Personal Data, with your consent, and/or to third parties designated by you.
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Notice, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Data with third parties without your consent. For example, we may use your Personal Data to:
- operate, maintain, and improve our sites, products, and Website;
- respond to comments and questions and provide customer service;
- send information including confirmations, invoices, updates, support and administrative messages;
- communicate about promotions, upcoming events, other news about services offered by us and our selected partners;
- send you reminders, support and marketing messages;
- protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized and/or illegal activity.
As a registered client with La Piel De Naranja you agree to receive certain communications from us including but not limited to the following:
Special Offers, Newsletters and Updates. Out of respect for your privacy, you may elect not to receive these types of communications by informing us at lapieldenaranja@gmail.com.
During the Costa Rican holidays of the year and school holidays, classes will not be taught. Prices for registration does not differ. The result is that some months of the year will have 3 per month while others 5, providing a balanced yearly schedule.

- Classes will end on Friday, December 16th, 2022 for the year.
All program fees are due in full at the beginning of each month and are non-refundable.
- Program Fees – $185.00 USD per month
- Registration Fee – $55 USD upon signing up
If the Student misses class(es) there are no available make-up classes or refunds available for the Waldorf Program.
If you wish to register mid-month, the full cost applies and cannot be carried over to the following month.
Prices are listed in USD but can be converted to Colones should the Client request this. The exchange rate used will be the one listed on the Banco de Costa Rica website on the day of payment.
If you do not attend the program on an ongoing basis, the space will not be held – you will need to re-register and will incur the $55.00 USD Registration Fee again.

Payments need to be made in advance to attending class in the first week of each month.
If you register to begin in the 2nd week of the month, the price is the same, but you are able to attend the amount of classes included in the package (ex: Sign up Feb 8th for the Basic package of 1 class per week, and you’ll be able to attend 4 classes between February 8th and 28th).
If you register to begin in the 3rd week of the month, you are able to pay a discounted price. Please inquire directly.
If you register to begin in the 4th week of the month, the registration will be for the following month, however, you will be able to attend class that week at the same price as a packaged class. (ex: for the $50/month package, each class is worth $12.50, therefore you will be charged a total of $62.50).
If it is a drop-in class the student can pay on the day of the class.
